I'm getting that MMO twitch back and I'm curious what everyone here is playing? Tried D3, wasn't crazy about it. So far I think going back to Star Wars might be my best option.

Anyone check out Guild Wars 2? I've heard good things about it but am not familiar with the whole Guild Wars universe.

Miss you guys! <3

Epic thread necro on a retired guild forum, that probably gets less traffic than Lumax's internet when Tormax is at 4%!

After failed attempts to get into D3, FFXIV, and a few other titles, I have wondered the exact same thing (while enjoying a much needed break from MMO's). I plan to keep an eye on Pantheon (http://www.pantheonmmo.com/game/pantheon_difference/). It is far too early to say if it will be a good game, but I like what I have seen regarding the design attitude, and proposed game play style.

To quote the Pantheon team:  "From the moment you log in you will notice that the game is more social and has an emphasis on cooperative play. The monsters are often tougher and exploration is more involved. You will need friends in the game and your reputation can either help you progress or hinder it.".

Should any of the old Tyranny crew check in, I extend my warm regards, and hope life is treating you all well. :)

Take care,

Avi

Wow - memories. What a ride it was on Oasis early on in the game. And then pretty much smooth sailing once Paradigm/Tyranny was tier 1 and made the name known WW.

Trying to get in touch with Utopi - if you see this man, please reach out to me at mrkoe7@gmail.com.

Hey Topi! Just read this post man. Kinda makes me wish I had it all back. Everyone who has ever been a part of this family knows what made this guild what it was. I'd like to say thanks for all the dedication, hard work, and friendship that came from you... that allowed Paradigm/Tyranny to be what it was, and also express my gratitude for ever letting me be a part of it.

Miss you too Nat! Unfortunately, not many people check the site anymore. It's always nice to have people drop by and say hi.

You can also go to www.ld-fifty.com and say hi. Lot's of the old Tyranny folk still play TOR.

P.S. GW2 is........

My gf is still pissed i left her at a resturant stranded for an hour while we 2.5 grouped Justice ... that was a painful memory ... the ass chewing i got from her and hearing Topi rant. Fun times  ;D Being part of Tyranny are my fondest memories of all Eq2. Keep it real friends ... and Swoop wtf is that chicken voucher?!

Simply put, it was an honor my friends...I'd seen a lot of servers, a lot of raid guilds, and a lot of fun during my time in EQ2 and never was there a better guild in EQ2 than Tyranny.  To those of you who I still chat with and those of you that didn't catch my previous messages with my contact info my phone is 978-799-6526/email evan.stoddard@gmail.com.  Its sad to see this guild die but I must agree that even when I came back in DoV the game just wasn't the same EQ2 died for me with TSO though at least with Most of SF there was something worth while to play for.  DoV was just by far the worst that could have ever happened to hardcore raiders.  There were a lot of people raiding in top guilds that I knew always would make it, but there were less and less that could recall camping mobs, trash talking, and just good old fun.  I wish everyone well and hope to see you guys in another game someday when I have some free time.

PS....still waiting for chicken...just saying!

Most unfortunate indeed. Being the longest guild I had been a part of within the 7 year raiding career I had in EQ2, it's sad to see Tyranny end here.

It was, unfortunately, a perpetually downward spiral after Yael farming into DoV, but this guild had accomplished some truly remarkable things within my multiple years here.

Take care to all those that have come and gone. I had an immeasurable amount of fun and pleasure being a part of this with you.

This is a sad day for Everquest 2.

Good luck to all, and for those that I raided with I hope to raid with you again in the future.

As someone who spent a long time in tyranny and saw it go through good and bad I can say when we were at our best no one could beat us, we were unstoppable, I still miss the old tyranny and the avatars and having to get up in the whee hours of the night or getting the call, can you come home from work they are going to actually try to pull the avatar!! Unfortunately as topi said playing hardcore is a dying breed and sony no longer wants to cater to us.  So while its sad to see it go its nice to remember all the good times.
